Really like this one Steve, the detail in the fur, the head cocked to one side and munching on a hazelnut(?)The BG complements the squirell so smoothly. Would it be possible to get a full reflection of it in the water? A, and the moss in the FG makes such a good frame.

Hi Steve ... killer IQ in the little critter !!!! Welcome to the Squirrel club .... with a lovely color and tonal palette .
Interesting to see the bright tail fur ... have never seen that here .
Not a fan of these pond setup images .... looks like " English Zimanga " , sorry for my comparison .
To make this work for me .... the pond edge has to be flat and rising and fading into the BG , well in an ideal world .

Well detailed pleasing colours. It does look rather contrived to me sorry to say.

And the others don't Jon, but when the subject is fed in previous posting how can it not, but be planned/contrived????

That is not the point, I am saying this looks contrived albeit very well presented. What are the chances of seeing a squirrel eating a nut on a branch conveniently placed on the edge of a pond which would appear to be above ground level?? I have done similar with birds and I feel it looks contrived, I am not saying yours is any more or less than any of mine.

Pretty cool image Steve, love the POV, colours and detail. Very cute subject and pose. And that bit of reflection is just lovely.

Superb PP work, enjoyed viewing, and thank you so much for sharing. Our squirrels in SA look so scruffy next to yours

    Warmest regards,

Lol Gabriela, I think it’s the coarse fur?

Yes, coarse and grey! But they are tough critters
