    I shot this with my Canon 40D, AV, on tripod with Macro Twin Light (-2 ev), ISO 200, F/8.0, 5 secs, EF 100mm Macro lens, Pattern metering, Auto WB, Auto Exposure. I've looked at this photo so many times, I'm wondering if the purple is too strong? Comments welcome.......

    hi richard, i dont think the purples are too strong here. i dont think that you are trying to convey a lot of details as it's almost an abstract!! reminds me of tie-dye! i might would boost the whites in the middle of the flower just a tad. very cool image. bouganvilla?

    I don't think so It is just right for me !!! Would like seeing another wide open? Not sure what selective focus might do the feel !! Impressive image !!!!

    Hi Richard,

    I like this image very much. It has a real abstract feel to it; the feel of a painting. I like the purple as presented.

    congrats...the color hues are right on the money and so is your saturation factor...good show buddy...I also like the composition...:cool:

    I think this is what they call Royal Purple! very rich looking.
