    Hi folks ... a quick turn from exotic places like the previous postings , back to my hometown .
    Image taken some weeks ago in local town park

    This guy is sitting on a ugly feeding stump ... so I had to go in tight to avoid the ugly stump .

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 560 mm
    F 9 ; Iso 25.600 ; 1/1600 sec ; man exp

    Full frame

    Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022

    You must have been incredibly close, as at f/9 even the paws are only just in focus, but good PP at ISO25K.

    If you managed to get him/her a little bit more at a more jusanty angle, leaning out I think would have elevated the capture. Not a lover of the big bit of debris in air.

    Thank you Steve ... I agree about the DOF and the turn would have been better .
    But F9 was the absolute limit , did not want to shoot at lower SS .
    Yeah the debris ... ... part of the " story " for me . But could be easily evicted .....

    Super, super cute Squirrel Love the way it pops into the frame, and that 3D feel.

    I do understand your thinking behind the techs - glad there's sharpness and detail where it needs to be so happy with this as presented
