    Another image of a Roseate Spoonbill, this time feeding, from last weeks journey to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 500mm PF, handheld sitting on the top of banking with elbows braced on the knees
    1/3200 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 4000 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 500mm (750mm 35mm Equivalent)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2022, and Topaz Denoise AI
    Cropped slightly for composition and presentation

    Love the colors, and you did well to get direct eye contact while the bird was feeding. Exposure and details looks great across the bird. There might be a tiny hotspot on the top of the neck, at the bottom of the bend. There's also some sort of halo running the length of the bird, from the top of the head and along the neck and back. You have to look closely, but it might be worth tweaking the the processing to gee if you can get rid of it.

    Hi Dorian, thank you for viewing, commenting and suggesting improvements. I went back to the master file and did the image over. I reposted the image. Guess I should have posted it here so it could be compared, reposted it before I thought it out.

    Nice. I knew Merritt from the JPEG. Great job on the framing and the head angle. I'd lose the single bright green area on the upper frame edge right in the center.
