This was the cub I posted first from the last trip, but found this one lurking... Needed a bit more below, but quite like the fact you can see the landscape. By increasing the EV it dropped the SS, in the excitement I hadn't noticed!!!!

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Super exposure/detail, I would have tried to place the bear a little more to the right, that is my only reservation.

A very good evening to you, Steve

I like this as presented, lovely pose from the bear cub and the image overall has a dreamy quality to it - must be the blue of the ice? Or perhaps the way the subject looks up?

Beautifully exposed, background is superb. Everything looks natural, nothing over-the-top...Nature at its best. Sharp and great detail, the drop in shutter speed has not affected the image.

What I like most here? The bear slightly off centre, relaxed and a little lazy, and aaaargh, that hind limb ...great timing, Steve. Let us not forget those nice subtle colours of the ice - I see blue and green and pink too - how beautiful, I think you really you managed to capture the essence of the place.

Sincerely hope you get to visit Svalbard again soon and that you see lots of bears, your favourite subjects

Really enjoyed viewing, thank you so much for sharing.

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Steve-- glad to have you back and posting . And what an image to start with. Superb IQ as always.

Loved the feel of the environment , sense of motion in the back leg , the raised face and the unlimited horizon , just like a painting. superbly done.

    TFS !

Hi Steve ... looking good as most of the times on all counts .
Regarding the subject placement , I am with Jon in this case ... "ETTR" without clipping

What I do like the most ( overall) is the icy blue stuff in the FG and the layers from dark down to lighter areas in the BG , not to forget the look back pose of the BP

Awesome image Steve. The WB is perfect, the colours so nice and subtle. The pose of the PB is sweet as it looks back. Well composed!
