Currently I have about 11 birds per hour visiting the back garden, this dearth is probably due to the female Sparrowhawk being present, plus neighbours putting food out. Hopefully things will pick up as we approach Spring.

Hi Jon, nice detail in the darks. albeit the detail starts to get lost as you draw down, but I do like the slight head turn, all good at 6400 with that body. Overall I personally feel its a wee bit tight and the perch needs to be a bit bigger in relation to the subject, but that's me. Is the lichen that saturated, ours is quite pale?

Hope you have better luck in the coming week and not blown away.

All works well for me , good to see you are using Iso in that range and come round the corner with good result
Nice overall color and tonal palette ... would not change a thing .

I love this species; sadly, I only see them when I'm in Europe. This is a great representation. The detail is really nice, particularly on the head and foot, and the perch is really cool. I don't mind the less-detailed areas towards the posterior since my eye goes straight to his face. My only issue is the crop; it's super tight as presented. I'm hoping you have some space to afford him!

A very sweet rendition of a great bird, but way too tight in the frame for me. What lens was used?
