A strong flight shot of a very speedy bird! Underside pose is great, andI like the view of the splayed tail. Unfortunately the rear of the bird is better than the front. The hood looks cooked, and there is some strong color fringing where white meets black. I might also open up the blacks on the neck a bit. This species is a nightmare exposure in direct sun, so I think you did decently given that challenge. Love the BG and composition to include lots of it!

you are pushing the limit with the zoom and TC! I usually don't even try putting the TC on the zoom! well done!!! I do see the color fringing Dorain is talking about as well, a bit of de-fringe and selective sharpening on the head can do wonders. whites mentioned as well...worth revisiting the raw. I wish the near wing was stretched down more, I am sure the bird just didn't do it or you would have captured it at 30fps

Hi Kurt ... nice flight shot .
All works for me here , just wish the image would be sharper and finer details would show up .
Might be worth to try and reprocess .

Hey Kurt. Here is a thought. Shoot flight with the bare lens alone for more d-o-f and one stop less ISO. And then crop. You just might wind up in a better place with the a1 ARW files...
