    Saul, welcome to BPN! Your image appears to be reasonably well exposed however it is not sharp. This could be due to a variety of reasons. The most obvious thing that springs to mind is focus - did you see your camera obtain good sharp focus? Does that lens combination deliver good focus, i.e. are Kenco, Tamron and Nikon a good match? I would be inclined to sit this combination on a tripod and bean bag and focus on a static subject then review the results. If you get sharp images then the chances are you have misfocused the image presented. Hope this helps.

    welcome to BPN, this image is dark and out of focus, the camera focused on the waves behind the bird. next time try to put the focus point on the head of the bird and avoid shooting in harsh mid day light like this. putting the sun behind your neck in the evening pays dividends :)
