Here's another Red squirrel, the colouration is very different to the previous post. This darker race is more typical of the mainland Europe population. I think squirrels were introduced for Holland and Germany to boost the gene pool.

Hi Jon .... lovely " I got you " head turn of the Squirrel .
Overall processing looks good , just check the blue/cyan in the fur .
Will never become a friend of the boxy format ... but you like it , so I have to accept what you are offering . Subject does sit too central for my taste .

Other than that nice one , and I hope you like shooting these little critters .

As far as I know ..... the Eurasian Squirrel is very " flexible " in coloration and not a question of introduction from mainland . As there is not " British Squirrel " .... just a Eurasian .

Very nice capture dear Jon, love the pose and the way the subject makes eye contact - great timing!

I too noticed the slight cyan cast in the coat, it's not too much, easy fix for you. Also, would have liked a bit more space in front of the squirrel.

Overall a well processed image and background looks good, I particularly like the 'wet' look of this little one and of course the behavioural aspect (subject foraging on the ground).

Enjoyed viewing, thank you so much for sharing,

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
