Hi folks ... I will proceed with the latest stuff I was shooting with the R3 .
No time to go far from home ... so try to get some stuff at local lake , albeit being somewhat limited due to buildings all around the lake that makes flight shots less pleasing .

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 500 IS L + 2x TC
    HH

    F 10 ; Iso 1600 / 1/3200 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 ; slightly cropped from bottom and RHS for better composition .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, well timed for the splash down, and I really like the film of water splayed out from the Gull. Exposure looks good, as does the sharpness. The red beak pops nicely against the blue of the water.

Hi Andreas, love the bow wave (coincidentally I posted a similar one). The bird looks sharp. Wish the left wing was positioned a little higher so we could see the entire underwing.

Thanks Stu & Sharif for your comments , much appreciated .

@ Sharif .... well we cannot have everything perfect at times , so i can live with the shortcoming that you mentioned about the wings. Would have also loved to go lower ....

The water looks so fresh and clean. Neat to see the faint view of the legs under it too. Good details and the whites look pleasing. I too wish the front wing was just a little more open - but as you say things don't always pan out the way we want.

Pretty sweet for a gull Andreas.

Rendered nicely and really like the splash from the beak. Yes to the wings, but man there are much worse poses for sure!

As a minor nit, I might look at reducing the sharpening on the water wake just in front of the subject intersecting the beak. Otherwise, works nicely as presented sir!
