Been a while since I have posted this was shot last May in a Nd slough.I think the grebe just ate something previous frames looked the same. Overall a real bad year as we were in a severe drought with records broken back to the mid thirties. Water conditions were terrible as water was low and dirty. Processed with Dpp 4,Photoshop,Topaz.Comments and critiques appreciated.

Looks spectacular to me but I would suggest a little on the bright side. Selecting the mid tones and pulling down just a small way the image looks absolutely amazing.

Thanks Jonathan. I would agree on the brightness. It looks brighter on here than my screen. I have been going overboard on the exposures trying to eliminate any noise. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Very nice frame Kevin but agree with Jonathan about the brightness. Looks about 1/3-2/3 over exposed.

Hey Kevin, very sorry about the droughts. That hurts everyone.

Man you got this one lined up beautifully.

Very pleasing color palette and obviously rich lighting. Looks plenty sharp with plenty of details rendered.

I, too feel like it's just a bit blown out in luminosity but you could pretty easily tone that done and be left with a gem.

Hi Kevin .... such a cool and attractive species you have captured .
You seem to have had great warm light ...
For me the image is overall too bright , just my take .
Specially the mid tone to darks areas needs more depth , IMHO.
As Brian mentioned you have rendered a great amount of good sharpness .

    TFS Andreas
