Saw this Python during my morning bird walk.

Hi Paul -- a handsome creature indeed.

The light looks pretty strong but i feel you still have managed pretty well to get a decent head shot. That tongue definitely adds to the image. Setting do look challenging but you have managed well.

    TFS !

Thank you Haseeb. Yes, not the best light.

Interesting shot, i think I too would have used a long lens! You prompted me to look up Australia and Pythons, I had forgotten how many subspecies there are there.

Hi Jonathan. Yes to the long lens. At least this one isn't too dangerous, but I didn't want to get too close. Cheers.

Very nice point of view Paul, and good framing, I like the space in the FG. The visible tongue certainly adds interest and there's a slight 'menacing' look from the Python which I find quite appealing ( I like snakes )

Light was harsh but you handled it well. Well seen and taken, your image shows how well the species blend in with the surroundings to avoid being seen by other predators or prey. Enjoyed viewing, thank you very much for sharing!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
