Nice backyard! Beautiful shot all around, love the perch as much as the bird.

Jon, the color and canvas are quite striking. Let me reiterate about the colors... so lovely. Did you change anything in your process in that regard?

Absolutely perfect pose IMO, cannot get much better. I like the comp with the branch in the lower 1/3.

There are spots on the subject that feel a little soft, i.e. parts of the head, the beak and legs. Was it much of a crop? Slightly atypical from you I think as you're usually pretty deadly with your details.

Also, just a slight bit of fuzziness in several parts of the limb, even areas where I'd suspect it would be in plane. But could just be me.

    Overall well done.

Andreas, Colin thank you, glad you liked it.
Brian, processing was minimal minor adjustments to highlights and darks, a little Sat and Vibrance, crop if any would had been absolutely minimal. Sharpness looks fine to me, did you view the image in PSCC?

Hi Jon, the Blue Tit is nicely framed between the branches. Lovely pose and HA, and just love the overall colours in this. Good sharpness to the bird, and I really like the lichen covered perch. Another gem from you.

    Happy New Year.

Jon, don't mean to insinuate this is a low quality image by any stretch. But, for instance, compare your Bee Eater and this one side-by-side; it feels like the difference overall processing and sharpening is quite noticeable to my eyes.

Love the look of these cute little birds. Nice moss covered perch. Solid background and nice framing.
