I captured this Grey Headed Gull as he came in over a wetlands. It was pure luck that I managed a full head on capture here. The raised wings reminded me of an Angel. Taken early morning.

The image has that inimitable stamp of Stu quality! Composition looks good and exposure spot on, ideal focus, couldn't ask for more!

    Heu Stu:

Great pose, sharp and well exposed despite bright lighting, centered comp. works well here.

    Cheers

Angelic for sure. Nice light as well. And of course that killer pose.

Hi Stu ... looking at this image , I think who the **** needs mirrorless with animal eye AF to create stunning shots .

Very very well done on all counts , Stu . All looks good to me , as posted ... but can see a version with less room at the foot for placing the bird off center . Just a thought .
    Stay safe and healthy ...

Angelic indeed! Lovely shot with great symmetry, more skill than luck I would say.
I can imagine a crop with a little less in the bottom and more on the top.

Stu, a real sweetie you go here!

The wing position is fantastic. Like the darker gray backdrop a lot. The faint feather in the rocks.... rocks ;-)

I would love to see some off the bottom, and even squeeze it a little if you wanted to keep the 2x3.

Thanks for sharing amigo, a gem to view

Yep, the repost by Artie addressed the composition beautifully...but you had a great image to start with so that helps! Nice pose, exposure, sharpness.
