Here's an American Goldfinch posing among some neat berries a few weeks ago - back in the good'ol 7DII days. Anyhow, I had a few files not processed before going to the R6 so here is one of them...
Also, if interested, I've posted Top 10 of 2021 blog for those interested....there may be a few surprises in there. Check it out!:
Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1600s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, a couple of stray twigs and a berry or two at the edges removed.
Lovely shot I like as presented, I am wondering if in that bright light if the sharpening and brightest highlights could be reduced a little, I think more detail would be revealed.
For me, the berries and colorful, mottled background make the image.
Also like the slight head turn and it was nice of the subject to keep fairly parallel to the sensor, giving you solid sharpness from top of the head down through both feet.
Since you already removed a couple of stems, I'd be inclined to evict that last, bent one drooping down at the bottom right.
