Hi folks ... just another new image from the new toy .
The is really ugly , I know , but I took the chance to shoot a couple of byproducts as the perch is usually for Red Squirrel .
But many birds are just opportunistic and take the left overs of the squirrels .

IQ has suffered for sure , a really hard crop in my eye ( 45 % of FF ) and 25.600 Iso . But the lighting was that bad so I took the shots .... regardless of the Iso

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 400 mm

    F 4 ; Iso 25.600 ; 1/800 sec ; man exp

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 , cropped for comp and some gardening on the still ugly perch

Thanx for watching and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Sweet bird. Ugly perch. Does not look bad at all for a large crop of an ISO 25600 image ...

Noise levels are minimal, the perch looks a little smudged here and there and with perhaps some ghosting on the RHS. Details in the Robin look very good, colours look spot on. The perch looks to me to be a typical sort of location to see a Robin so I do not find it particularly disturbing - just natural.

Andreas, quite nice from my view. I have seen far worse perches and this one does not bother me much.

I love the breast feather detail and the glassy, sharp eye. The comp works for me and I could also see a version with everything slightly more to the right, but again, nice as-is too.

For the ISO level, processed beautifully. Well done!

Sweet looking little robin. I do like the framing. Image quality looks pretty good for that ISO.

Lovely detail. Can almost see your reflection in the eye! So nice! TFP.
