Hi folks going somewhere else .... for a change to open my mind and to not bore you with the Squirrels .

One image back from 2019 taken in Namibia , showing a female nicely isolated from the pups .
I just emphasized the difference by darkening the BG with the pups , and liked my edit ... LOL ... hope you do too .

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 490 mm

    F 6,3 ; Iso 5000 ; 1/1600 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 ; slightly cropped

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous postings

I think the treatment of exposures is very good indeed, I did not initially think the seals in the background had been darkened I thought they were probably adults and the one in the foreground o be a pup , my logic was back to front! Anyway the image looks good details excellent in the forground subject and the OOF seals in the background are readily identifiable as seals. There appears to be lots of hairs about the image so I presume the adults were moulting/shedding (not sure which is the correct expression for seals!). In short interesting and good quality.

Excellent IQ with nice emphasis on the subject Andreas. Good colours and tone and the darker BG makes the subject really pop. Nice techs as well.

Hi Andreas -- I liked the framing , and the idea to darken the bkg seals has helped your subject nicely standout .

Nice pose and the tones look pretty good. I feel the muzzle and head of your subject is sharper than the eyes and area below the eyes up until the throa/ neck has some sense of motion in there.

    Nice one nonetheless.

    TFS !

Works well with the darker seals in the background. Nice pose on the in focus seal. Detail looks pretty nice.

Might be Andreas , but on the second look I still feel the area below the eye appears a bit shaky.
