    Default Red-tailed Hawk

I landed in Chile a few hours ago and must quarantine overnight while I await a (hopefully) negative arrival PCR result. I was negative
72 hours before departing the US, but the Chileans are testing all incoming int'l passengers to be super safe. Fine with me. I don't mind
the loss of 1 day since we have a month here. Means I have time to post my final shot from my week in SoCal! I was hoping for a
front-facing liftoff, but the bird turned around and jumped off the backside of the perch. So, a perched view it is!

Processed in LR CC with a light round of Topaz NR. Cloned out some poop remnants on this apparently-oft-used perch.

I like the pose and perch, I presume it was the time of day but the image appears to be rather yellow to me.

Pretty RTH, you got a perfect head angle and nice rustic perch, in a perfect world tail would be a bit cleaner but that's a nit. If mine I'd increase the warmth a bit to bring out the signature rust tones....

Nice capture Dorian, but you should not need any NR (Topaz) at ISO1600 with light like this and I feel it's flatted some of the finer detail, especially in the head, but applied on a Tiff not the ideal. I thinking if you have the data, moving the subject to the right so looking more into the left would be better, it's rather to central for me. Adding more warmth perhaps, but also an RGB Curves Channel to add a little more oomph to pullout more of that plumage and the gorgeous talons.

Very nice Dorian....I would either reduce the NR or add some sharpening to the bird....Not much, but I think it would make the bird look better....The talons look awesome...

Oh boy I'd be super happy with this! Excellent perch and BG. Good call on going vertical. I had second thoughts about the WB as well, not very much off - perhaps a touch more reds needed, but again not by much. Of course it had to take off away from you eh!
