Hi Andreas, I like this a lot, the crop/framing works and I do find the tilted/angled wings appealing. The jaunty HA works with the the legs and the trailing water tells the story. Was this still Mechanical or Electronic?

leveled and cropped and added back some canvas .
Why add, PS will add it.

    hi Andreas,

eye clarity is excellent. I got the R3 feel. A very clean presentation as always. Paw and beak colors may be wrong. displayed on my monitor.

    congratulations.

Thanks folks for your kind comments .

@ Steve ... the canvas extension did not work in one go , had to let Photoshop work several smaller steps to avoid blurry areas . Electronic shutter .... I barely used mechanical so far . Tried today again on a very quick session .... but went quickly back to electronic for BIF , at least in combo with the EVF . Sorry for the missing " e" ....
@ Volkan ... feet and beak are looking natural here on my screen

    Thanks

This is a wonderful composition. I think and the fact that the DOF is not there makes it better in that I am instantly drawn to the things that are in focus and these are the eyes ,legs ,bill and splash. And the softness and quality of the soft light and even though i left Cannon -for lack of focus following in those days - for BIF ,the lovely soft Canon colour is unpassed .Very beautiful Andreas
