This is the next frame of this peregrine I sent a couple of weeks ago .Not pleased with me walking her private path or so she thinks. This frame seems to be sharp where it matters but at 6.3 i ran out of DOF on the far wing . This lens seems pretty good and able to keep up with the 30fps and the eye focus--I think.

About 50% crop
Focus looks pretty good to me too! Well caught, I was just thinking if this is 50% crop how much of a crop would it be if you say made a 5x4 portrait crop?? I would be tempted to lower the highest tones a little.
Hi Ian ... you have captured a spectacular flight move , love it .
Here on my screen I am not 100 % sure about the overall processing .
The lighter parts do show not the most of details and the shadows do look lifted resulting in some grainy appearance . Might be just me .
Love the electric blue sky .
Fantastic action pose - definitely a challenging capture, so well done on that front. I think the sky is slightly oversaturated and the bird a bit yellow. Both of those are easy fixes. I imagine you raised the shadows on the top of the right wing (as it faces down)? The IQ is suffering in that area. The pose alone makes this a keeper.
Hi Ian. Dramatic pose...so well caught! I'm not mad about the saturation in the sky...for me, just a bit too much. These birds fly so fast, so to catch this is testament to your skill. I had to travel to Sydney a few years ago to see these birds, and they were swooping down at supersonic speed...lol. Haven't seen them in Brisbane yet, despite there supposedly being some locations. The A1/200-600 looks to be a mighty combo. TFS
