Hi folks .. still practicing with the new toy .

I was able to get just almost a mono red image .... at least IMHO , plus a " screaming Squirrel "

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 200 - 400 IS L with TC engaged ( 560 mm )
    HH

    F 5,6 ; Iso 8000 ; 1/800 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 ; cropped from bottom and added canvas to LHS and Top . Original capture was too tight .
My vision of the intense reds can be discussed .... but I liked it for the time being .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous thread .

    Cheers Andreas

Cheepers its a magic result from what was (i would imagine) a pretty average opportunity. Once again shows me how little i actually know and how much i have to learn about photography. Im not sure what others will say and im not sure about the natural colours of this scene however as presented they look magnificent

Hmmmmm! For me the reds are a little OTT, all the orange red throughout the image seem to smack me in the eye a little! I would suggest lowering the saturation of the reds, if the image was a crop I would suggest loosening it a little, I feel the squirrel is just a little tight in the frame.

Hi Andreas, I'm OK with it all, nice detail, but agree, the Orange/Reds are just too OTT!!!

Thanks folks for your kind comments , much appreciated .

I think the reds can be discussed , to a degree .... but not much IMHO . Matter of taste ! I did not push the colors specially .... was just a side affect of the processing , and I did not reduce the oranges in DPP as I normally do on every image .

@ Jon .... no wider crop possible as it is already extended canvas on LHS and TOP of the frame , and I think no more room needed .
@ Sanjeev .... the R3 , well I am 50/50 on it so far . It has some advantages , for sure ..... but the AF is not as good as I expected , to be honest . But I need more time to get used to this whole new mirrorless world .

    Cheers Andreas
