Another from the vaults, but never posted.

This young male Leopard was sitting in the bush, quietly watching the herd of Impala walking slowly towards him...

A fantastic result from what looks like a limited opportunity. I love how although in shade the leopard seems beautifully haloed by bits of golden light and foliage. Perhaps a better view of his(i think) eyes would improve the image however it is stunning as is imo

Indeed Basil, but like us, when focused, they tend to pull down and concentrate, I think when relaxed you see more of an open view????

Beautiful male in his prime, I see the nose still has a bit of pink

This frame points to behaviour, typical pose of a big cat when stalking prey, lying still among vegetation preparing to make the kill.

Also, well exposed and framed, Steve. Colours and tonality look great and there's lovely detail. For some reason I want to flip it And to remove those two ticks, aaaargh!

On a more serious note, your PP work is stunning. As always, a pleasure to view.

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Hi Steve -- What a fine image. I feel we can achieve so much from any sighting after looking at several of your images. Again not very ideal settings, but you keep producing super results.

Superbly done in all aspects from IQ to colours .

    TFS !
