    I managed quite a few shots of this cute Cisticola. Here's one breaking into song

    D500/500PF, 1/2500th sec@f5.6, iso800, manual mode hh. Thanks as always for looking and commenting on my photos.

    This one is killer. I love all those angles. Brightening the shadowed side of the bird's face is an option. And the down-the-throat singing pose is both dramatic and humorous.

    Terrific capture. These are tiny, flighty little birds, difficult to capture. Congratulations on fine shot.

    Hi Paul ... personally I think one of your best ever presented shots on BPN .
    All does work well for me ....

    The calling pose is great and that visible tongue is the icing on the cake .

    Personally I would NEVER EVER lighten the facial shadow ( in cases like this ) as you will loose the natural fall of light and dimension in the subject . There is plenty of detail in the face .... so why lighten it ??? But we all see things differently .... and might think we learn from somebody else .
