This one is killer. I love all those angles. Brightening the shadowed side of the bird's face is an option. And the down-the-throat singing pose is both dramatic and humorous.

Thanks so much Artie, Jonathan & Bill...really appreciate the kind feedback.
Artie: Yes to brightening up the shadowed side of the face...told you I could learn a lot from you
Hi Paul ... personally I think one of your best ever presented shots on BPN .
All does work well for me ....
The calling pose is great and that visible tongue is the icing on the cake .
Personally I would NEVER EVER lighten the facial shadow ( in cases like this ) as you will loose the natural fall of light and dimension in the subject . There is plenty of detail in the face .... so why lighten it ??? But we all see things differently .... and might think we learn from somebody else .
Thanks so much Ian, Volkan & Andreas. I really appreciate the kind feedback.
Andreas: good point regarding the shadow area...yes, we all see things differently. I'm happy with it as is.
Very well done Paul...Yes, one of your best....Lovely detail on the bird...Great perch and BG...The open bill and head feathers look real good....Lovely capture....
