    Default White Ibis at sunset

Went for a swim-float in about ten inches of water to get this shot. Totally worth it -- even if keeping my rig dry was a bit of a challenge!

    Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS R5
    1/4000 at f/5.6, ISO 800
Processed in LR CC. Cloned a bit of the green at top to eliminate an interrupting dark patch.

Love the light and low point of view. I also love the subtle reflection in this one. TFS

Very nice Dorian, everything works well. The raised foot is an important element here, much more interesting than two feet planted underwater. I especially like the curling line of water drops around the bill.

Thanks you all for the kind words! This is definitely one of my favorite images that I captured this year for all the reasons you mentioned.

Artie, the prey is some sort of worm or small eel. He gobbled a couple of them in the time I spent with him. Unfortunately, he was angled away
from me most of the time, so I was happy to get this pose!
