    Hand held image taken on local coast, this is a composite image using the camera neutral density filter, my intention was to try to retain good detail in the bird and have soft water.
    Olympus : E-M1X
    Focal Length : 600.0mm
    Focal length in 35 mm film : 1202.0mm
    Exposure mode : Manual exposure
    ISO Sensitivity : 80
    Exposure compensation : 0.0 EV
    Shutter : 1/25 sec
    Aperture : F8

    Pretty neat IMO. The light angle gave you nice textures on the plumage. The soft water looks good to me, but I have to admit that I wish you had a better-looking splash than what you have here. Fun to experiment!

    Like your thinking Jon, but agree with Dan, I think a faster SS may have created more 'drama' within the scene with freezing the splash...

    Ironically it wasn't the splash I was interested in, it was the smooth water, I wish now I had posted a different image!
