    this is the first catbird shot i have gotten that showed real definition. i have better shots but they have my feeder as a background.

    I like the pose and the diagonal twig. I think I might crop more off the right side. Since you were using a 1/250s shutter, you could have added a fill flash.

    Much better bg Mike !!! It does give the bird a chance At the time of making the image would have tried fill flash as suggested but now you can selectively lighten the bird.

    If you add some canvas to the left and crop right the image will look very good !!!! On the road and having trouble with the connection so I can't re post !!! Your are looking good Mike !!!

    Much much better Mike,
    Now that you got the bird out in the open, you need to lighten him up a little he is too dark, the image is under exposed. also need to sharpen the eye and run some noise reduction in the background, it quite noisy...:cool:
