    Default Wilson's Plover After Bathing

    It's a VERY rainy day here in FL so I thought I'd get in some editing and processing.

    Shorebirds are my favorite subject. I think it's a combination of their size, playfulness, cuteness and simply the environment in which they're found. I particularly enjoy preening and bathing activities. This WIPL, after bathing, made his customary hop and returned to dry land for some preening.

    David, a laser sharp image of a very small subject. You did well here IMO.

    Looks like it was a little tough to expose in the provided light, but you handled the processing well. The transition of the background elements are fantastic.

    I like that we got a clear view of the eye inside the curl of the primary wing feathers. A little more catchlight would have bumped the image just a bit for me.

    As a very minor nit, I think it could benefit from a degree of CCW rotation looking at the water lines.
