A Cormorant posing nicely for me early today at Lake Samsonvale in Brisbane. Basic adjustments in ACR and PS. Cheers.

Super shot, I like the pose and composition, perch and background look fine. The colour transition in the background adds interest. Details in the cormorant are very good, I feel the darkest areas could be lifted to reveal more detail. A pleasing image.

Hi Jonathan. Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm actually happy with the blacks as they look on my calibrated monitor, as I did lighten them in post. Cheers.

Neat bird. The BLACKs look perfect to me too. Love the bird and that cute face. And the tiny head. I am not in love with the placement of the line dividing the water from the vegetation. Also like the neat feet.

Hi Artie: Thanks so much for the feedback. Where would you prefer that dividing "line" to be in relation to the bird? I could have got lower down, but then I'd be looking up a the bird.
    Andreas: Thank you

A very nice view to this bird, Paul. Exposure looks good, and the graded BG is really pretty. Feather detail and head tilt are on point. I really like the comp to maximize the background bokeh.
