OK, this I think has been posted, but since then both knowledge & software have been updated, so the IQ IMHO has been updated, so worth a punt.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Steve, I think you must start an online MasterClass in processing

Super sharp with great detail, composition spot on and I love the inclusion of the spoor/paw prints. So many nuances of white. Lovely reflections in the water. Superb textures in the fur of the bear.
Your PP work just gets better and better, Steve. Great work in the field as well, thoughtful techs, good timing (nice walking pose), cannot find fault with this image and I am sure the others will agree, superb IQ, and well... just awesome

    Warmest regards,

Thank you Gabriela, but it all comes back to the Raw, but now with a few tweaks more within PP I can extract even more, but not going overboard and the files/prints are just elevated that wee bit more. You can do it too, you just need time.

If I could shoot every day with ISO below 2000 oh boy what a joy, but sadly that isn't going to happen so as you know there is a bit more PP required to achieve things, but hey, what do I know.

Steve, kind words from you, thank you, will I ever find the time And yes you need good light to shoot below 2000... the only place I ever managed to do that consistently was... the KTP

Steve I recall the first submission and I think I was mightily impressed, this looks fantastic, the snow/ice is good, the footprints add as opposed to subtract and the fur detail is exceptionally good.

Superb, I can only image the encounter and photographing this bear. Your rendering is wonderful, I echo Gabriela's and Jon's comments. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks folks, when you get good light, it makes all the difference, but shooting in snow conditions your Histogram is your best buddy.

Hi Steve -- Nice and simple stuff, excellent IQ and loved the soft muted colours.

Nice details and framing works as presented.

    Nicely done.

Hi Steve ... agree with you always good to back and review older things .
It would be even better ... when you post them side by side or pane after pane to see the difference .

As for the image , all does look very nice ... I really like the foot prints in the FG .
Very nice colors and tonal range ... just wish the bear would have turned the head a tiny bit to get more light in it . You might try to fake the light a tad ... in the face .

A real peach of an image ... in terms of the techs .

    TFS Andreas
