This Red-necked Phalarope graced me with its presence for one morning only recently, and proved to be such a fun subject as it twisted, spun, and U-turned its way back-and-forth along the shoreline non-stop...but from close range. We do not see the lobed feet too often so I was happy to see this frame while reviewing the images.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/3200s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 75% FF, contrast and saturation to taste, usual eye work.

Looking good Dan...The POV really stands out here and I like the raised foot....Nice colours throughout...I would have a look at sharpening the head area and the raised foot a wee bit...

Super shot Dan, I looked on BPN then I opened a new tab, I though this doesn't look like one of Dan's, I went into PSCC - wow what a difference! Super shot Dan,, colours details sharpening looks spot on to me.

What a nice subject, great low angle as usual, maybe just a tad more sharpness to the face.

Pretty sweet Daniel. We don't get many RNP's around here, which is a bummer.

This is mega low and the result is great. Sweet light.

The soft blues are beautiful. Seems to lack a little of the finer detail we're used to from you but still a strong frame.

    TFS.

Killer bird, mesmerizing soft colors (especially the BLUEs), and the raised foot make this one another winner.

    Envious.
