Missing Those Golden Days !

Hello everyone.

I hope you all are doing good and staying healthy .

I apologise for not posting for such long time but believe me I badly missed this forum and especially you guys. So, henceforth will be trying to post at least two images per week if not more. The thing is that I have not travelled for any wildlife photography trip since i don't know when and have limited set of images to post from my previous trips , hence , won't be posting more.

I really wish that the activity on this forum also gets back to pre pandemic levels.

This is the Golden langur from Assam , a very beautiful specie and named after its fur colour which gets even more golden than this. I am posting this image because of the particular moment and also it is very difficult to find them in the open because the topography and the vegetation of the place.

DPP, PSCC 2020, WB, levels, curves, selective colour, sharpening, NR one round.

Canon 500mm f4 with 1.4x T.C, Canon 1DX MKII, HH.

ss 1/500, f/8, iso 8000

Cannot remember ever seeing a Golden Langur here in the Wildlife Forum! I realise it is difficult to capture images of the species in this environment so very pleased you managed some.

Pose is just lovely, cannot help but think the little one is waving at you! I like the way mom is holding him ( or her ) and also, those little feet grabbing mom's knee. The eye contact from both makes this image for me.

Frame a little tight on the RHS, did you crop to eliminate some vegetation? Techs look good, nice choice of aperture, good detail.

Let us see what the others say, looking forward to hear from the members. For me the only thing I find a bit bothersome is the reddish twig in the FG, might be quite a job to conceal it but I think it is possible.

ISO8000 fantastic, some folk with the same camera are still shooting way below that and the images suffer, but you nailed it here, kudos in pushing it. Don't update and get a body that limits your ISO, this will suit you for a long time. Great colours, nice and punchy with super detail, the break has brought a big leap forward in your PP.

A tad more room on the RHS, its a wee bit tight as gabriela mentioned. The blue Has aren't a problem and conveys the scene here.

A fine shot details and tones are very good, I think you did well it could not have been easy to get in the optimal place. Despite some areas being a little complex I feel the subjects are strong enough to retain attention.
