Jon, nice to see one in sweet light!

Really nice viewing angle, love the acorn in the beak with the head up.

Those bkg colors are tremendous and really make the frame for me. I could take or leave the prominence of the grass blades but I would love a touch more below and right if you had it.

    Works for me, tfs!

Hi Jon....Really like this....Has always been a 'daydream' of mine to capture a Jay with an acorn in its beak.....This looks so natural....with an Autumn feel about it...Lovely detail on the bird and a great pose...Only thing I would wish for is a wee bit more room below...apart from that....Super...

I like the behavior, especially the food item. the colors look a bit muted on my screen but maybe that's how it looks like in England. IQ isn't bad but the image isn't quite tack sharp as presented on my 4K NEC. The bird is entirely inside DOF but doesn't look tack sharp where it should to be honest. especially around the eye area where sharpening has brought up noise but still doesn't look tack sharp. the bokeh of the lens isn't that good, it's busy but you can't expect more from a small sensor camera and lens. I find the FG too busy again due to the inability of the small lens to isolate the subject enough, I think you get better results if you focus more on shots on a perch where the rig doesn't struggle with isolation as much
