Looks like a female Wheatear to me, good colours and details. I quite like the composition but possibly a portrait would have been good too.
Have you been cleaning up around the leaves, the bottom 4cm looks a little smudged in parts???

Hi Joe, I like the framing and you have given the subject some lowly room to breathe within the crop. Personally I find it looks a tad soft, perhaps a tad more selective sharpening may help, plus I might just tweak the slight red cast, well to my eye. 1/500 I think is a bit conservative as you had such low ISO I would have raised the ISO to 800 for more SS and the IQ really would not suffer with the MK3 and certainly still n need for any NR. The slight head turn is a nice touch.

Hope you are enjoying the R5, hopefully I will have something interesting to share with you in the coming weeks re the R5.

Thanks Jon, I'm glad you like it. yes i did the cleaning :)

Steve, thank you. I thought I wouldn't get used to it, but I'm getting used to it. enjoyable indeed. 400f4 suits the do2 very well. I'm not very good at eye tracking for lone birds. Thank you for your contribution to the photo. love

Volkan, when I’m back next week I’ll send you some simple settings to check or change, the updated Cases option works really well with both the MK3 or R5 and so tracking/lock on is much easier. Yes, it might drop occasionally, but then it picks it up again, it’s not 100%.

Very nice overall. Good perch, great background. I only wish the feet were more visible, but all else looks fine to me.
