This is from the beach in my hometown....I locked onto this Lesser Black-backed Gull coming in for touchdown...I liked the wing display on show here, just as he/she landed....1/8000 froze the motion for sure....HH..ACR and PS2021. About 50% crop.

Really sweet light Bill. Wing position a real plus. For some reason the joint of the right (to us) leg jumps out at me. I'd tone that part down but love it. Sand in an interesting color here too. TFS.

    Will:

Good timing re: landing and wing position, as Jay mentioned. I actually like the more prominent joint showing, increases the sense of impact from the landing. Small point though. Good color harmony. Neat color difference on the tip of the last primaries.

    Cheers

Will, a pretty strong frame for me even on this simple species.

Love the wing spread and the nice detail in the feathers. Solid head angle and rich, warm light.

The beach is simple with just enough little specs of detail to add interest. Not much to nit from here, TFS!

Looks great Will super pose and detail. I have to confess the colours looked fine until I read Amdreas' comment and now it does bug me a little.
