    I am not sold on the set up so I have some other ideas, another work in progress.

    Such a cool setting, Jonathan. The water in the pond is rally pretty. The detail on the bird is fantastic; I just wish we could see a bird more of the subject. Same goes for the reflection. I looks like you had a bit too much lens in this instance. But what you did get is about as good as it could be! Might get rid of the second/lower catchlight in the eye.

    The set up looks good to me. Nice to include the water. Framing is spot on. Neat patterns in the water.

    like this one a lot Jon, pleasing elements in the image came together nicely. if mine I'd surgically repair the small dead spots in the leaves to freshen them up a bit
