This is a bit different, John, and I rather like it. The oof birds give a nice wallpaper BG; and there's lovely light on the primary skimmer. Well seen. You had a good outing at Nickerson.

Hey John this really caught my eye, I really like it. If it isn't a big crop I could see the primary skimmer a little larger in the frame, and maybe lift the darkest plumage a little, but yes this is really nice I like it a lot.

Yeah, I think this works as well. It gives a nice sense of the colonial setting. I might try to tame the highlights and lift the blacks to try to even out the exposure across the bird. I think there's more detail to be had at both ends. Can't beat that super warm lighting!

Pretty cool effect John, with the other subjects behind. They are distant and oof enough to make this a cool frame.
I think the brights could be toned down just a bit, but that light is mega! Well done.

I really like the overall frame here with all the BG interest. Good pose from the Skimmer as well. Maybe look at Brians suggestion about toning down the highlights, but this is a really good frame

Ditto Sump Scores on the brightest tones. Nice COTE BKRG.
