For the past few weeks, I have noticed an abundance of sandeels close to the shore in my hometown.......This has attracted big numbers of Guillemot and Razorbill, and yesterday a Red Throated Diver.....Very unusual, as this is the first time I have witnessed so many of these birds so close....Anyway, I took full advantage and spent lots of hours on the shore, including getting close to the Red Throated Diver (a first for me) ......This Razorbill was early evening on a white cloud day...HH...ACR and PS.

Nice frame Will! A species new to me and well shown.

Really like the angle of the head and body in frame. The wake presents nicely and I like your choice of comp.

Very sharp and nice detail. I feel like you had room to bump exp here about 1/4 stop or so as it feels the slightest bit muted.

    Overall strong, TFS!

Excellent close-up, and the low level and water are so appealing. Perfect head angle and details throughout. I love the bill! Adding some contrast will do wonders here IMO.

Very cool looking bird Will. I like the bill a lot, those tones and textures are really cool and your image shows that off. I like the amount of contrast you have personally.

Hey Will, nice close up and the slight head turn helps. Sharp with good detail but overall the colour does appear off. It can also do with opening up too. Control the contrast, use the HSL, Curves, and some Saturation/Vibrance masks and IMHO it all starts to have a greater presence. Not being there, it may have more 'artistic licence' but hopefully ist indicates the potential the image has and you can achieve greater separation between environment & subject, love the bow wave!!

Hi Will .. glad to hear about your great options at your local beaches .

This is one nice side profile of the Razorbill . Love the water ... specially the crystal clear looking bow in from t of the subject .

Tones , details and comp are looking good .

Color well , it looks off to me ... but you were there
