Hi folks ... something different in terms of bird , tried really hard to capture a BIF of these guys , surprisingly it didn't work
So I rather took the normal stuff ... is way easier than BIF , coming closer to wildlife .

Leaving the fun stuff aside , this image is taken on the Falklands back in 2012 on a location called " Sea Lion Island" .
We could walk to the location after the landing worked well with the big ship . This guy was part of a larger colony of this species , sadly we arrived there when the light was already not ideal . At least we had some clouds filtering the harsh light .

Andreas, I love your penguin processing but I CAN'T believe you didn't get a bif here??????

Yeah man, this little tike was sweet to pose for you. Really nice eye contact and amazing details as is customary for you.

I like the composition. As potentially distracting as the other subjects above might be, you did well to minimize them.

As a personal pref, I probably would have stamped out the two fluffs on wing and body and maybe the spots on the chin. It would important to draw full attention to this subject with all the busy-ness above it, and I think there is merit in taking out the other distractions.

    Like it a lot though!

THanks Brian and John for your feedback , much appreciated .

Brian ... as you would have expected , I do not care about the imperfections in the subject ... as the catwalk of Paris is far from the Falklands , so I thought I keep the natural dirty look and call of the wild

    Cheers Andreas
