    Image captured early yesterday morning at Lake Morton in Lakeland, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 500mm F/5.6 VR AF-S ED PF, Handheld
    1/1600 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 450 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 500mm (750mm 35mm Equivalent)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2021 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Nice portrait here. I do like the framing and that blue background. Nice detail in those whites.

    Hi Joe .... very nice image .
    Looks good all around .... if you have used NR globally , then I would reduce it in the subject .

    You did superbly at what is often an awkward distance. The head angle is perfect for bird's position and the ruffled feathers are great.
