Default The Hop! (a WIPL followup)

Thought I'd follow-up my previous post, "Reach for the Sky" with a frame from the same sequence. As we all know these little guys move with lightning speed when bathing. I was never a "gear guy", but I have to acknowledge that the newest gear from Sony and Canon are game changers. You can't discount their AF systems and FPS.

Love the pose, the water droplets add tot he action. I do wish you had a bit more DOF to get the feet in focus as well. But already at f/8 not sure that was going to happen.

David, this is a gem man. To get a tack sharp face and head and even see details in the neck plumage is fantastic.

I love the tonal feel on this one and you did a fantastic job sharpening IMO. Great job going for f8, you must have been close for everything else to fall off in terms of focus.

Like the composition. It feels just a tad cold so might recommend a slight bump in warmth and play with maybe a couple points toward magenta and see if you like it.

Really nice David, thanks for sharing!

Looking good David....The blur on the wings brings this image alive....The BG colours 'fit' perfectly....Very well captured....

I like it, the head in focus the feet and wings not so works well from my point of view, it emphasises action/movement. Exposure looks good.

Very sweet. Wishing for more d-o-f for sharper feet is both illogical and not feasible from where I sit.
