    Default Scrub Jay Spray

While shooting the Yellow-billed Magpies plenty of crows and Scrub Jays came for their photo ops too. I was tossing' peanuts for the event and this fella made a grand entrance for his meal. TFL.

You could not ask for a better flight pose! Could the face be opened up a bit?

that's some wicked pose man, nice light, to my eye there is a tiny bit of motion blur or heat shimmer on the head, a touch more fine sharpening would pay some good dividends there

I really like the pose and the wings are awesome in this. I do think the head looks a tiny bit dark to me, but that is minor. Nice work!

Jay, this is an amazing flight pose. Perfect light angle and awesome bkg.

I do see a bit of blur around the head and eyes. If you can push through that with some selective sharpening I think it's a real winner.

    TFS!

What a super shot, I particularly like the low angle and the ground being visible.

Here's a modded version. I did a little sharpening around the eye and tried to open up the face per Artie's suggestion. Better? (note: the sharpening could look a bit more than I actually did as I was lazy and downsized the image a bit (for bpn) after doing the sharpening). In the full size image I "think" it looks good. Cheers -
