    I like the mood and it's my sort of crop. Very fine detail.
    Maybe the face coud be brightened a bit around the eye.

    Nice sharpness, behavior and POV! Unsure about the head maybe being brighter. But maybe it would help the eye to pop a bit more.

    Neat to see the bill through the water. Nice low angle as well.

    The face looks dark because the head is turned away from the viewer. Head angle, head angle, head angle ... The subject-to-sensor orientation is perfect, but the head, alas, it turned well away from the centerline of the body.
