    Default Red Fox

Hi folks ... well I made it finally into the archive .
Image taken in 2017 in the Amsterdaamse waterleidingduinen .
Some of the foxes are " habituated " to human presence ... so easy shooting if one is fast enough . As they have their favorite humans ... as a foreigner it is way more difficult to get the desired shots .
This image does show a rather younger fox .

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    EF 200 - 400 IS L at 536 mm
    HH

    F8 ; Iso 10000 ; 1/2500 ; could have saved some SS for a lower ISO setting

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2021 ; slight crop for leveling

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Nice image Andreas, the low level works and I don't mind him looking away, past you... the stick on the LHS goes and I would just lower the brighter HL's.

Nice view of this fox out in the open. I do like the setting and background.

Good and sharp pleasing colours. I would also have toned down the bright grasses in the background. I looked up the reserve, it looks like a great venue.

THanks so much , Steve, John and Jon for your feedback .. much appreciated .
Your points noted on my side .... but I can greatly live with the things you mentioned .

Jon it is fun to go there and shoot foxes , deer if your lucky and some birds as well . But one needs to walk a lot from the entrance gates to the places of getting the foxes .

    Cheers Andreas

    Good evening Boetie Andreas,

Really cute subject and I like that quizzical look on its face, lovely colours and tones, nice detail too.

Great DoF and a cool 3D feel to this image. The twig on the LHS and bright grasses draw the eye a bit.

IQ looks great for ISO 10.000 I just have two questions: is this a cub? And if so... where is mommy Fox?

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
