    If you've ever heard a Veery sing its song, then you'll know why it is one of the coolest tunes of the forest!

    Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, audio setup with speaker placed just underneath this fallen snag.

    Best shot I've ever seen of this species. The lighting, pose, and BG are all perfect. Could see a crop with more perch, if you have it. And maybe shifted a tad right, but not much. The yellow mouth lining really cracks here!

    Looks great all around. I do like the calling pose and the framing. That background is killer.

    Daniel, looking sweet man! Love the light-footed perching posture and the call is super.

    Very interesting perch, bkg is smooth and simple.

    A really great canvas. Appears there might be some cloning or masking silhouettes at bottom just in front of the perch?

    Brian, ah yes those are very faint BG or FG grasses that I should have removed.
