    Fun birds. Good wing positions. Sharp enough. Although not bad as is, a better head turn would have been extra. I also think the whole image could go darker a bit.

    Nice raised wing flight pose and background. The glassy-eyed look and the head turned away spoil this one for me. Those plus the bird looks quite washed out and a little blue ...

    I have nothing of this bird, so I'm envious on that front. Mottled background is very nice, but the glass eye and head angle aren't ideal as others have noted.

    I like the mottled background. Yes, lower the exposure. I hear these birds screaming all day on the lake.

    Dan, this is a colorful canvas for a simple subject. Very nice.

    Great wing position, eye contact and plenty sharp. I feel like you could enrich the frame a bit by deepening the blacks and enriching the colors a bit.

    Lots of positives though, nice capture!
