Hi John, good for you in pushing both the ISO and f-stop.
I don't mind the crop but going a little lower to be at eye level I feel would have been better, a little off the top helps too, IMHO. The processing isn't bad, a bit too contrasty and as you use LR I have said what profile to use as a starting point for Lr to help reduce the crap Lr adds in behind the scenes. In addition some more NR would help. The environment is quite nice but the white flowers are a little distracting. If you are using the latest PSCC then removing some of the elements on the coat would be good, very easy nowadays. I guess there also is some moulting, I would patch that too, always nice to show subjects to their best, but to all depends on your ethics.

Hello John,
Quite like the way the Buck 'enters' the frame and DoF here. Agree with Steve regarding crop/comp and yes a tad of NR is certainly beneficial. I notice Steve's RP brings a bit more definition as well as depth and fine detail, wish I could do that myself
Not much you could do about the OOF vegetation but still a nice capture of the species in its environment, good colours and such lovely pose from the subject - I enjoyed viewing, thank you so much for sharing!
