John I really like this image it has a painterly look about it, it really resonates with me. The fish the tern and the grasses really do look very good indeed. The grass colours look slightly unusual but this adds to it's appeal.

John, a lovely flight shot in a sweet environment. Love the wing position, flight pose and dinner in the mouth.

I like the easy feel but I could also see a version with a bit more sat in the greens. Little bit of haloing above the head.

A real treat though, well captured!

Lovely action and environment shot. Being picky, I can't make out if it is body shadow or a bit of grass that is making the far leg look like it has been chopped off mid flight.

Good typical Nickerson shot: wings up, feet out, prey in mouth with eye showing. Grass color looks right to me. Nicely captured.

Hi John, really nice image. I echo all the positive comments. I agree with Colin's comment regarding the birds left/far leg, it appears separated from the body. Maybe cloning? Thank you for sharing.

Really nice image; behavior and habitat in the same frame, so that's always good! Processing looks spot on, an dI like that we can see the fish's eye. Love the color tones throughout. The OOF blade of grass does make the foot look like it's floating, but that's life!

This is rather beautiful! Ecellent habitat, and of course the fish is a super bonus. I'd fix that "cut" leg for sure, and while at it remove that whole curved grass blade from the legs to the fish's tail. Having said this, quite a remarkable frame!
