    Default Kingfisher clear

I didn't like the "action" of this Kingfisher shot as well as my last one (branches notwithstanding) - but here's another on the same upward flight to the tree. Better or just different?

    Same setting as prior post...

Jay I like the high key and different. Not sure about the flight angle gives a different perspective. I wasn't crazy about the one with all the branches. I like this one more. Hard to get they are fast. TFS

Jay, another pretty solid KF frame.

A great wing open pose and slight open beak adds. The flat light doesn't enhance the colors on the subject quite as well but a clean BIF shot is good anytime in my book.

There are parts of the bird lacking detail, presumably due to the aperture/dof. Most of the wings are oof. Perhaps a touch of motion blur too.

Otherwise, the steep angle is slightly less than ideal but this is a far better capture than most get, so kudos Jay!

Well, I did not see the other one but I love this one. Please include the settings with each post for us busy lazy folks :). The dark feathers of the head are noticeably lacking detail but that can happen from a big crop or from the soft, white sky light. The pose is mega and in this rare case the hight shooting angle does not bother me at all. The near-underwing looks pretty sharp but not the far underwing, perhaps because of motion blur.

If you do not like this one you can send it along to me.

    with love, artie

The pose is great. I could see this even brighter. Should have entered the theme.
