Couldn't help but share a Lion image tonight, this is for you dear Steve and Jon

I have a few frames of this male taken while he was roaring... but unfortunately his eyes were closed.

Processed quickly on my laptop which I cannot calibrate...so not sure about the colours...will have another look at the weekend

He's a belter! Lovely colours and details processing looks good to me.

Thank you so much Jon! Viewing on the big screen now and I think I could have done better with PP but was in a hurry to post, LOL. Looked better on the laptop last night ( well, everything looks better on a smaller screen )
Such a beautiful male, he was just about to roar here. But as soon as those whiskers started pointing forward and his mouth opened those eyes begun to close, aaaargh...

Hi Gabriela, super shot, a handsome fellow with a great gaze, nice framing and pushing the ISO, not bad for the D5.

Techs look good, DoF spot on, everything nicely in place. Personally I might just warm it up a fraction, probably for cosmetic reasons, adding a % Mid tone Curves just adds a little more depth. I'd keep the crop the same just move it more to the LHS and so the eye on RoT's just insects the box.

    Well done.

Thank you so much Steve Will implement your suggestions, initially I backed off a bit on the warmth thinking it was too much but I think you are right, needs a tad more oomph. Will also look at the comp, if I remember well I took off from the top and a tad from the LHS. And flipped it

    Have a great week ahead,

    Warmest regards

You were there Gabriela so you know the light conditions, my thoughts are just impressions, ultimately it’s your call.

Cropping just move it over a tad.

Gorgeous portrait of this majestic beast. Love the pose he gave you here. The lion looks very content with having his portrait taken. Very nice.
