Default White Tail Posing for Coin Competition

While side lighting doesn't often do it (and though its not great here), I like that this WTK at least looked toward the light. I also like his wing positions as they remind me of eagle positioning for some silver/gold US minted coins. Anyhow, TFL.

Fab pose Jay.....and I really like the golden colours throughout....The thin perch adds so much....Nice detail, I would have a look at sharpening the head and chest area a wee bit...regarding the crop...maybe some more below and less on top.... Well captured.

love the stretched wing with those golden colors and the golden BG. Ideally the HA would have been a bit better and the light would be coming from behind your neck as opposed to your left. Still a great frame!

Very nice indeed. About as good as you could get with that side-lighting. Good warm colours. Like Will, I could see a version with the subject a bit higher in the frame as I feel it is rather low as is. I can see your point about U.S. coinage and this pose...

Love the sidelight and that BG is "to die for"!
I love the wingspread and the great catchlight in the eye.

Killer background. A lovely pose as well. The light gives some nice depth to the image.
